I get this error message does anyone have a clue on how to fix this.?
XPSP2 – VMware Workstation
VMware Workstation has measured your CPU speed to be 2660 MHZ, but Windows reports that it is 2683 MHz. This may mean that your computer has a power – saving feature that varies the processor speed. As a result. The clock in your virtual machine may run too fast or too show.
For a workaround. Please refer to the VMware knowledge base article at:

What is XPSP2 – VMware Workstation Error
Hi to you.
This problem you are facing is not bad. It's just a simple mismatch information that read by virtual machines. VMware requires the correct maximum speed of the processor because virtualization only works with your processor support.
The solution for this problem lies in the simple configuration that can be found in VMware.
You have to set up the maximum and correct CPU speed that runs in your system. If you know your processor model you can easily get the correct maximum speed. If not, then you can go to start menu/accessories/system tools/system information then look for your CPU speed.
Remember your speed then follow this step:
go to %AllUsersProfile%Application DataVMwareVMware-Productconfig.ini, make sure in your folder option you enable "Show hidden files and folders".
open the config.ini(right click open with notepad), the add these three lines
host.cpukHz = "xxxxx" where xxxxx is your maximum cpu speed
host.noTSC = "TRUE"
ptsc.noTSC = "TRUE"
Follow the text correctly then save it. Then click Start button - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services.
Look for VMware Authorization Service Right click and Restart. Your problem now is fix.
