Hi,

My home PC has Windows Vista the Home Premium version. I am having problems installing and running several software applications, more recently the Photo Deluxe. This OS restricts the setup of the installation wizards of the software and I am wondering what could be the problem, since I get the compatible versions. Whenever I try to run the setup the OS restricts and nothing displays. Please assist.

Hallo Neema,
The first step to solve this issue is to verify that the software that you are installing on your computer does not have compatibilityproblems with the operating system, which is vista in this case and it seems you are downloading the ones that are compatible as you have already said.

Another thing to observe is the system specifications of your computer. Things like if your computer is a HP-Compaq, a DELL, ACER and so on, because some drivers are made to be used on specific models of computers.

You can also just check to be sure that you are logged as the super user of your computer.

Hi Neema:

If that software does not have a version that is certified to work with Windows Vista, then you can try running the installer in compatibility mode. Go to the setup file of the installer, right click on it, go to Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. Check the box saying Run this program in compatibility mode for: then in the drop down menu, select the operating system wherein your software version is certified to work. Check Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply then click Ok. Try running the installer again.

Thank you. Hope this helps.
