Windows Software vs Linux Software

Hi Paul!

Linux being a GUI OS is quiet different from Windows. However, you may run some of your windows softwares on Linux. Wine is a utility or tool for running windows programs on linux but it will not work on every version currently, WINE is tuned for Windows 98 and Windows 2000 programs. Secondly, you may run different windows programs with some limitations. For instance, programs that need graphics and sounds must have proper installation of video and audio drivers on Linux similarly, in some cases, you will need to have dual operating system installed on your computer to run windows softwares on linux. Hope it assists you. Regards,
