Win xp – parallel desktop- unable to allocate virtual Machine memory

Hi guys,

I have windows XP installed on my system with 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo and 4 GB ram. I am facing some issues with parallels desktop.

I decided to delete the virtual machine and reinstall the windows. I did this, but it did not work.

Then I reinstalled parallels and restarted my system but it resulted in the following error:

Unable to allocate virtual machine memory

The message states:

Winxp – parallel desktop

Unable to allocate virtual machine memory!

This error may occur mostly if there is no enough free disk space available on the physical disk to allocate virtual machine paging file. Try to clean up the physical disk (remove unnecessary files). If it doesn't help, try to re-install Parallels Desktop.

OK

Can anyone please shed some light on how to resolve the issue?

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Regards.

Hello my friend, as I am running through the specs on your computer I notice something very alarming.

To begin with your CPU 2.4 GHz Intel core is good. Your memory of 4 GB ram is good.

But your hard drive space is very alarming. This is your problem right here, you only have about 31 GB hard drive space.

My advice to you is to change your hard drive and put in a bigger hard drive of 100 GB and up.

Hope this help you.

Thanks.
