You can install windows xp using fat 32 but unlike formatting it with ntfs is better than that of fat 32.did you know that fat32 file system cannot accept more than 4 gigabyte of file size? So as that Fat32 is not intended for file system instead it is intended for removable devices.

You must reformat you computer with NTFS system so that you can avoid problems in the future that might cause either or both of your software and hardware. This is why you can’t recover you deleted files and files are easily get corrupted with this kind of file system that your machine is running.

Dear Jeff,

I hope you are doing well.

Well, about the query you have, I suggest that you format your C drive for fresh installation, however 100% recovery isn’t guaranteed, and you can recover it, this will not create any problems if your hard drive is in good health.

I hope you will find this helpful.

Hello Dear,

Thanks for sharing your problem with us.

Dear it is true that windows installed on FAT 32 creates recovery problem but not 100%.

FAT 32 file system also provides facility to recover the data using recovery software. But not 100% and accurate.

Because system restore files can be removed easily in FAT 32.

You should use NTFS file system. It provides 100% data restore facility because we cannot delete any file in system restore folder. Even we cannot open that folder which keeps old files and logs for restore.

Thanks
