Why does ConfigMgr (SCCM) import drivers selectively?

I am trying to import drivers into ConfigMgr (SCCM). These are meant for creating a driver package for a new laptop model. My problem is that the ConfigMgr (SCCM) is importing only selected but not all drivers. It also produces a message that “Selected driver has already been imported at this site.” Does anyone know why ConfigMgr (SCCM) is selectively importing drivers?

Hi Cassandra,

To import all drivers and create a driver package in ConfigMgr, it would be best for you to transfer and save all drivers into a single location which can be accessed by the Import wizard. It should exist on a share because the driver import requires for the driver files to be accessible in UNC. That is why it is only saving some drivers for you.

If you are using dell computers, they already have a driver pack ready for SCCM use. It will save you the import time.

You can just download it from here. You can also get additional instructions here
