Unable to access certain Web pages on Internet Explorer 8

I am running Internet Explorer 8 and my problem is, some web page doesn't load. I am just getting a blank page, but when I try to open some webpages on another computer, I don't receive any issues. So I am certain that the issue is not about the website itself. There is no request of any plugin installation, just a blank white page appears. I want to know why it won't open on this computer. Can someone help?

You have not mentioned about  the type of website you are unable to access. But in general verify or change the below setting and see if you can open the web pages.

1.    Verify the proxy setting of your browser is correct. Try to turn off the proxy and select ‘Automatically detect setting’ and see if you can open the mentioned web pages. To go to the proxy setting click on setting on Internet explorer. Then you will find Internet option. Click there and you will get the below page after clicking on Connection. In the connections page click on the internet network name which you are using and click on settings.

2.    In the same internet option or internet properties page click on security tab and if your PC has very high security label. If the security label is very high then you may not be able to access certain pages. Change the security level to medium and check if you can open the web pages.

3. Also this issue may come from your DNS setting. If you are using broadband connection and your DNS setting is in your computer then verify the setting is correct. If you are using WI-FI then the DNS setting of the WI-FI router is correct. You can change DNS IP to one of the public DNS IP 4.4.4.4 and verify if you can open the web pages.

You did not mention what operating system you have used. If you are using Windows you can try to perform these tasks deleting your browser history, disabling add-ons in Internet Explorer, resetting Internet Explorer, checking whether a third-party service or program is conflicting with Internet Explorer, and restoring your operating system to an earlier point in time. You can contact Microsoft for more support.
