Hi there,

I have realized that my Samsung Galaxy Tab is slowing down remarkably after using it for a week, I have downloaded minimum Applications and I am not running more than three applications at the same time, what could be the cause of the slowness (several freeze ups which clear after a minute or so), how can I fix this without deleting applications?

Hello,

There are several techniques that can speed up your Galaxy Tab.

1. Reboot your tablet.

This is the easiest and also, the most primary troubleshooting for any slow machine.

2. Terminate apps running in the background

During a lot of use, you might have installed many apps that you even don’t know. Uninstall unwanted apps and also, apps you don’t use.

3. Optimize your RAM using any app

This is the best way I think to increase your tab’s RAM using simple apps. Here are several apps for this purpose

  • Smart RAM Booster: The most popular RAM booster. Lightweight and fast.
  • Memory Booster: Another good app. Defrag your apps’ memory to run smoother and prevent memory leakages.
  • ROEHSOFT RAM Expander (SWAP): This is the best app for this purpose. You can use your SD Card as an external RAM memory which will give your tab a boost.

Also, you can give a system reset from Settings app >> Backup and reset.

If you have a Smartphone and you noticed a sudden slowdown on its performance on using it, try installing a cleaning app. Try using Clean Master. It is one of the best and known optimization tools for mobile devices which also include a free antivirus. It can clean your device from junk files and improve its performance by freeing up RAM.

It includes a battery saver feature which allows you to save your device’s battery by hibernating running applications to extend battery life. You can also perform a speed test to see how fast it is than before. It also includes a Charge Master feature which protects a device from overcharging. Another app you can try is Speed Booster.

The latest version at the moment, Speed Booster 1.0.5, requires Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and higher. Before downloading any app, check the user feedback first to learn some of the usual problems you might encounter.
