I hope you're having a great day, You need to back up all of your data and files by copying all of your files to your computer so you don't loose any of your files, In my opinion formatting via android is pretty much easier than using third party application,

To wipe all your files and data you can follow these easy steps:

1- Go to settings

2- Select backup and reset

3- Choose factory data reset

To backup all of your apps you can install this application, It saves all of your apps states.
