Selected file does not appear to be supported by Adobe Flash Player

Hi,

I am running Mac Operating System and sometimes use older version of Flash Player to play files containing different formats. The following error message appears on the screen when I select a file to play. How can I fix this issue? Suggest me. Thanks.

The selected file does not appear to be supported by Adobe Flash Player, although it may work for custom uses such as mobile devices. If necessary, launch Adobe Media Encoder to convert this file to a supported format such FLV or F4V.

Hello,

It appears like you have been trying to run a .swf file, which is also a flash file, but unsupported by Mac natively.

Try using a flash player to solve your problem:

  1. Download Elmedia Player which is one the best flash players around for Mac, from here: https://mac.eltima.com/freeflashplayer.html

  1. Install the .dmg file by double clicking on it
  2. It should open a default application to extract and install the player
  3. Now you should be able to run the file by double clicking on it
