Roland SC-545EX printer doesn’t firing black Ink.

On my test print this morning, I found that the black ink is not firing or not printing. I do cleaning the head as well as pumping the head manually. I also check the tubes from the Ink bag down on the dumper.

The ink flows so smooth and no problems detected on the ink tube. I can pump ink on from the head. What is the problem? How do I fix this?

  • Roland SC-545EX printer doesn’t firing black Ink.
  • Four kinds of problem concerning this issue first is the Printer Head, Second is the Ink, Third is the Dumper and lastly, the printer head board.
  • Printer Head
  • If the printer head is already worn-out you may not used it any more. Detach the print head then check for the tiny holes on the head comparing from the other head. If the holes widen, the head is busted. Purchase new printer head.
  • Ink
  • The ink might be clogging on the tubes or the ink is empty. Replace the ink or check tubing for clogs.
  • Dumper
  • Check the dumper if it has holes or cuts and clogs on the ink way. Clean the clogs and if found cuts or holes on the body of the dumper, replace the part.
  • Printer Head Board
  • Printer head board is the one who has the control on your printer heads. Mechanisms and firing of ink was managed by this board. There are fuses found inside the board, those fuses breaks when there is a head shortage (short circuit). When this fuse broke, the printer head correspond to this fuse will not print. There are also transistors on the board which is most of case this was damaged. Note: if you are not an Electronic Technician or engineer, better to call an expert to do fixing the part.
  • All of the factors concerned must be checked for this kind of issue.
