Have you tried repairing the file,if not ,try this out

1.first close the mail application(outlook)

2.find the damaged .pst  file, most of the default path is C:Documents and SettingsUser nameLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook for windows xp and C:UsersUsernameAppdataLocalMicrosoftOutlook for windows 7 and vista

3.Now find the outlook PST repair tool, usually found in the program files. The default path is usually C:Program filesMicrosoft officeOffice12

4.open the SCANPST repair tool

5.Click on browse to locate the .PST file

6.Once file is found click on repair.

7.After completion click ok .

Now try opening you mail application(outlook)

You can also repeat the same procedure for the Archive.pst file that is also located where the other .pst file(outlook.pst)

Please note. Outlook has to be closed while you are doing this process.

After repairing, you can also try to compact the pst file

here is how

1.open outlook

2.click on tool menu and select account settings

3.on the window that has opened click on the DATA FILES tab

4.Now click on settings

5.on the opened window click on COMPACT NOW

If not in luck, try repairing the mail application(outlook)
