In my pc, I failed to start AGSEditorprogram due to the following error which tells,

The program can’t start because d3dx9_41.dll is missing from your computer.

Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Can you provide me with an effective suggestion so that I can get rid of the trouble mentioned above?

The problem is caused by some issue with your DirectX.  

You can try to download and then install the latest version from Microsoft DirectX.

Upgrading to the latest version of DirectX will most likely fix the d3dx9_41.dll missing problem.

Sometimes, the software you are using has a DirectX version included in the installation disk.

This version is most likely more compatible with the software you are using thus you can try to re install it.

Well James in most cases of lost dll files you have two options to search Google for the missed file  or to reinstall the application on clean install ( read the installer parameters) well it will be like when you run the installer to do this follow the steps down:

1. Create a shortcut of the installer.

2. Right click on the shortcut and on general tab look for target and you will find  it like this.

"C:path/installer.exe".

3. Add this parameter to it /clean so it will look like this.

"C:path/installer.exe" /clean.

Solution two

If the file didn't come with the installer you'll need to reinstall the DirectX library from Microsoft  here is a link by the way.

Download it and then install it and also  to assure it you need to reboot

Hi James Charest!

First thing that do not download the d3dx9_41.dll file from any DLL download site.

If you've already download, remove it from immediately and follow these steps.

  1. You can restart your computer, Some time restart could clear it up completely,
  2. Microsoft DirectX Install the latest version
  3. Some time the Latest DirectX version doesn't fix the error,
  4. Then you uninstall the game or software program and then reinstall it again.
  5. If these steps haven't solved the error, try extracting the d3dx9_41.dll from the DirectX download package.

Good day mr.Jame Charest,
 
I think you need to install DirectX runtime. You can download it from Microsoft website.
 
Or here is the link then after you download it, restart your computer and open your program again.
