Problems with Roxio Backon Track version 2007

Hello, I’ve got a mini net book that came with Roxio Backon Track (version 2007). I have used it to maintain backups, but unfortunately the netbook was damaged on 19-01-2010. At this point my business is looking to recover the information on the system.

It seems like it still manages to boot, but has errors that make it impossible to replicate the information on it. It is not recognizing any external drives. I've found this website and am looking for any help that may be offered. Is there anything I can do to recover the data?

The netbook itself had windows XP home edition sp3 32 bits pre-installed.

What can I do?

Could there be a method to save a duplicate sate for after the damaged date (21/01/2010) to a new hard drive?

Should I  also have to purchase a brand new version of the software system?

Do you know what file format Roxio Backon Track uses for its data files?

Do you know exactly what directory those files are stored in?

If anybody can assist me, I'd be great please appreciated.

Thank you!

I've attached an image of the current problem,

Thanks again!

Are you sure that when you were backing up the data, it was not interrupted by any program or power failure?

Because this type of error indicates only that either you have a corrupted backup or the backup was not fully performed.

But if you want to know the file format then it is either .RFI or .$roxio$ files. Maybe there are other formats too but these are the two that I know off.

I don't know how to open them but if you have any software that can open different file formats then it will be very easy for you to do this as you now know the file format and so you can open it for future use.
