I have a Dell Computer. My problem is that when I turn it on, just when I’m about to see the windows logo, it turns off right away. It will happen again when I try to turn it on.

Please help me.

In your problem, there are so many factors to consider especially in your hardware side. First, you must check you power supply. Try to lessen the devices that connects to your power supply (additional cd drives, HDD that does not hold your operating system, etc. Then try to power it up. If problem still remains, check your rams. Isolate each ram that you have in your desktop. If problem still exists, remove all the devices installed in your main board and try to boot it up.

For the beeping sounds you may refer to the standard beeping sound code. Just search in to Google for that.

Once, I also faced this problem. When my windows was not properly shutdown (via Turn Off button). Press F8 and start windows normally. Hope this will work. If not then try to run in safe mode and copy all your important files and reinstall your OS.

Hi there,

Please check the matters when you boot your computer.

1.       Your power supply working properly? You can check easily by connecting the green wire and any of the black wire from the motherboard powering wires.

2.       Do you hear any beep frequently one after another? If no than no need to check the RAM in the first place.

3.       Is your hard disk running properly?

4.       All the connections to the motherboard and from the motherboard are clean and proper? Disconnect all the connections and again connect them.

If all those are working fine than it is your computer’s operating system problem, so reinstall the operating system.
