I want to dock my dell laptop. Therefore I try to install it but I have mistaken somewhere. I have installed NT docking drivers instead of win 2000 and now the system does not access to boot. It makes a blue rectangle in the screen center. I tried to logon in safe mode but still no positive result.

Please help me now.

Hi Jeremiah,

Please follow the steps mentioned below to operate your computer in case your system is not booting from the hard disk. These steps are to be followed carefuly if your computer in not booting normally:

  1. Initiate booting of your computer by using Volume-1 of bootable tape.
  2. Select the Maintenance options.
  3. You can invoke data recovery by using system prompt.
  4. On clicking on the show hidden device option on the view menu, the Device Manager shows all the non-plug and play devices, drivers and printers but the devices which are installed but not plugged in are not displayed.

The Stop errors are errors which occur as a result of the low quality of audio drivers and make the video drivers incompatible, corrupt the hard disks and affect the crucial hardware of the system such as RAM, motherboards, etc. These errors may be triggered by events like plugging in a USB drive and can seem to occur at regular intervals. In case it is not due to any plug in devices, stop errors can occur with the support of any other triggering event.

Hope this solution helps.
