You can use the Google Maps application installed on your Android enabled phone to get directions. Please read the following basic instructions.

1. First open the "Google Maps" application from your "Home" of the phone. In most of the phones it comes as the default program.

2. Go to your "current location" from the application which can be found on the menu. A blinking large blue button or a flag would represent your location.

3. Select "search" from the menu and enter any location that you need to get directions from your current location.

4. Then select "start point" and "destination point" and select "get directions". The software will automatically generate the maps with directions and distance. You can also access other advanced map tools such as traffic data and satellite views through the menu.
