I have been using MYOB plus 15 full version for my accounting needs in Windows platform. I am now on an iMac with OSx Mountain Lion and I recently purchased and installed MYOB plus 15 full version for Mac. The program crashes when launched. What could be the problem?

There are two reasons for the problem you are encountering. First is your MAC OS Mountain Lion has a security feature called Gatekeeper that prevents the successful launch of your program. The second is there are products under MYOB plus 15 that are really not compatible with MAC OS Mountain Lion. These products are AccountEdge v9. 6, AccountEdge Network Edition v9. 6 and FirstEdge v1.1. All of these products and its earlier version will not work for your OS. To solve this problem, a simple workaround to change the settings of your Gatekeeper security can be done. Just go to the Apple Menu on your computer, click System Preferences> Security and Privacy> General. From the General tab, you will see Allow applications downloaded from. Under that, you just have to select Anywhere. After changing this setting, you can try installing again MYOB plus 15 version but just make sure not to include in the installation the products not compatible with your OS. I'm sure there are other versions of those products that you can download and will work just fine on your MAC OS Mountain Lion. I hope this helps.

You can also try to remove all the MYOB contents and then follow the instructions on how to install it correctly.
1. Download the MYOB Accounting Plus V15 here.
2. You will be prompted with the File Manager and start downloading the file.
3. When the download is complete, you will be asked to double-click MYOB Accounting Plus and then start the installation.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation.
