Hello, you guys!

I have a problem with this basic Confirmatory Factor Analysis I'm running. An error message pops up saying that "Mplus has unexpectedly stopped running. The output may contain only partial output. Please try again. If you continue to have problems with this input file please email it to Mplus support".

But even with this error message, it seems like the output is as expected. It controlled all I wanted to control. I need to solve this problem. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance.

After reading the description to your problem, I went to their respective forums and found something that you can try doing.

  1. you are trying to use too much instances of the Mplus. Open up your task manager and see if you are running more than 1 instance of the Mplus. Close all other instances and just use 1.
  2. When you are trying to execute something, are you sure that you are not using something that is pointing to a null? If it's the case then please make sure that you are not doing so.
  3. Once done, close the Mplus software and open the project or the file again. I am not sure how it looks but it must create a new instance independent of everything.
