Explain whether Lotus Notes 8.5.1 can be used to record and run macros in the same way as excel?

Hi A Najam,
Unfortunately, macros are not possible to be recorded and run after in Lotus Notes. But you can use some tools which will work as great as running some macros. They do have different level of complexities which you can manipulate to be able to achieve what you are achieving to do. You could try to use @Functions, LotusScript, JavaScript or Java. It is advisable that your first try would be with the @Functions command.

You can try to go here and start using @Functions on your codes. It will explain how and what it is for so that you can write you codes just like what a macro will do.
