A company printer is connected to a workstation running on ubuntu operating system.  The printer was  KYOCERA. To minimize the time, I would like to print directly from my pc which is running on windows operating system.  How can I configure file and printer sharing within two different operating systems?

Hi,

many solution are proposed in this field and they all can allow you to share the printer between windows and linux OS, some of them include working with SAMBA; but i think the best and the easiest way for sharing printer in local environment fire walled against the outside access is to use the solution provided in this link : and the solution provided under the following is also a SAMBA based solution but won't have to into the hassel of administration to do it, it is quite easy and useful. So follow the steps provided there and you shall quickly get your sharing dream up and running!
