Hi guys. I use a Netezza table for data warehousing and predictive analytics. Is it possible to import and modify a Netezza table in Excel? I use Microsoft Excel 2010. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to modify a Netezza table in Excel?
Definitely you can possibly modify a Netezza table in Excel. You can use the following steps in accessing the Netezza table in an Excel spreadsheet.
First, download and install the Netezza OLE DB drivers.
From your Excel workbook, go to "Data" band and select "From Other Sources". This will aid you in getting external data from the other sources aside from Access, Web, and Text.
Select "From Data Connection Wizard". The Data Connection Wizard window will be displayed.
Choose the "Netezza OLE DB Data Provider" from the selection window and click the "Next" button.
Insert the "IP" of the Netezza under the Data Source.
Input your Netezza account's "username" and "password" information then click "OK" button.
From there, you can now access and modify each and every table within your Netezza databases via Excel.
Hopefully I had helped you out with your Netezza – Excel concern.
