Dear!

I have Windows 7 as operating system and machine of 32-bit; today I was trying to install VMware Update Manager [Extension] through the Plug-in Manager and struck off through an error message. Please view the error message screen shot and please share your experiences in rough connection with the handling of this anomaly.

VMware vSphere update manager

Setup cannot continue. VMware vSphere Client is not found to be installed on this computer. VMware vSphere Update manager Client 5.0 Update 1 can be installed only on machines where VMware vSphere Client is present.

It is highly requested to please help me in connection with the above concern.

Hi there JohnLMcManus,

The error says that the update cannot be applied because the software you're trying to update doesn't exist on your computer. It is most likely the path problem.

The installer for the update you are trying to install requires VMware to be located on the C: drive. You can either wait for fix to come out as this is a bug, or you can reinstall your VMware vCenter to the C: drive in order to make things working.

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
