I uninstalled the program and installed it again and getting the same error on another percentage. I tried to get the correct Visual C++ Redistributable x64 package and installed but of no joy. Well, in order to install this do you have enough disk space or do you have administrative rights on the computer? One thing, you should not post the log files in a public forum as they contain the serial numbers for SolidWorks and associated modules.
Or, what you do is open your DVD case and take out the 64 bit version DVD, insert into the DVD drive and let this run. Else, copy the entire contents of the DVD onto your HD and try installing it from there. But before you do this, clean out the registry.

Before installing SolidWorks 2012, make sure your computer meets the requirements. SolidWorks 2012 supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Microsoft Windows 8 and Microsoft Windows 10 are not supported. SolidWorks 2012 requires an Intel or equivalent AMD processor with SSE2 support, 2 GB RAM, and 5 GB free space. If this doesn’t work, try installing the latest Windows Installer for your operating system.

You can do this by updating your operating system to the latest Service Pack. For Windows XP, download Windows XP Service Pack 3. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows XP. For Windows Vista, download Windows Vista Service Pack 2. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows Vista.

For Windows 7, download Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the latest and only Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 7.
