Hi Techyv,

Today, while I opened Hyper-V, it just went down and all my configurations are lost.

I was forced to create a new Virtual Machine and use my existing VHD for that.

But when I added a new VHD from a NAS drive, I get the following error:

VHD Error

Error:

Settings Error Applying Hard Drive Changes 'AE-DUB-FILE01' failed to add resources to 'AE-DUB-FILE01'.Failed to set folder permission.(Virtual machine ID 1A4C27C6-72DF-4EDA-BBB2-C82860BC94BF) 'AE-DUB-FILE01' failed to add resources.(Virtual machine ID 1A4C27C6-72DF-4EDA-BBB2-C82860BC94BF) 'AE-DUB-FILE01' failed to set folder permission for Z::The system cannot find the path specified.(0x80070003)(Virtual machine ID 1A4C27C6-72DF-4EDA-BBB2-C82860BC94BF).

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hi

You are facing a serious trouble as the regarded issues. But you can fix that type of problem easily. So don’t be upset for that. You can fix it by use the following instructions:

At first open your C:/ drive and then open ProgramData then open Microsoft then open Windows then open Hyperv then open nitialStore.xml and now you should add network service.

Now open for HKLM and then open System then open CurrentControlSet then open Services then open imbdrv  And then set the value 4 for start

You should edit your registry : so enter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then select SYSTEM then select CurrentControlSet then select Control then select Class then select {4D36E97D-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and then set administrator there.

Thanks
