Hi,

I have two sons and they both use an iPod, but we have a single computer. I want to know what will happen if I plug my iPod to a computer where another iPod has already been plugged.  I want to find out if this iPod will copy the music files of the other iPod to the new plugged iPod? What can I do to have separate music files for each iPod on the same computer?

Hello there! If you want to plug both ipods at the same time in one computer, you just have to hold the shift while starting itunes. In doing so, an alternate library will open up for another user. Through this, there will be a different and separate library for both ipods. Another method is by creating different users in your computer. Every user in the computer will have their own itunes library. To create a user in Mac OS X, log into the computer as the administrator. Click on the Apple > System Preferences > Account icon. Unlock the system first before doing changes. Click the plus + symbol to add a new user. Fill out the information and click on Create Account. By the way, enable the fast user switching so you can switch the users while the computer is turned on and turn off the automatically login as. If you are using Windows, just go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Create a new account.
