Hi Barb Brennan,

You can connect your phone by FileZilla. But you have to use FTP software for networking purposes. You can use SWI FTP for this task.

You will get a set of instructions on the following mentioned web site.

I hope it will be fruitful for you.

Hi there user,

Yes, it's possible. This is how you’ll do it. Use Wi-Fi for FTP access using FileZilla. It works for all Android Phones. Download SWI FTP from Google Play Store or other Market.

Set-up your username and password. Hit the ‘start to server’. Open FileZilla and type the IP Address from the SWI FTP program. Type your username and password. Done.

Please post in case you’re still having trouble.

Best regards,

Yes, it is possible but not necessarily with FileZilla. If you have an Android phone and you want to download or upload files to your computer using your Smartphone, you can do that. Your computer needs to have the FileZilla Server for Windows and then you can use AndFTP FTP Client on your Smartphone.

FileZilla Server for Windows supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 both 32-bit and 64-bit. No FileZilla FTP client is available for Android Smartphones. AndFTP Android requirement varies depending on device. In addition to this, here are the specifications for your Smartphone. The Sony Ericsson Xperia mini is a 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies.

It was unveiled to the public on May 2011 and released on August 2011. This Smartphone model has been discontinued. It measures 88 x 52 x 16 millimeters and weighs 99 grams. It uses mini-SIM card. It has LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 320 x 480 pixels screen resolution. It supports multi-touch protected by scratch-resistant glass.

It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered by Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon S2 chipset, 1.0 GHz Scorpion processor, and Adreno 205 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 32 GB. It runs on 512 MB RAM with 320 MB internal storage.

The primary camera supports 5 megapixels with LED flash and autofocus featuring face and smile detection, geo-tagging, and touch focus and can record video in 720p. There is no secondary camera supported. It has 3.5-millimeter jack; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA and hotspot support; Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support; GPS with A-GPS support; stereo FM radio with RDS support; and microUSB 2.0.

It has built-in accelerometer, proximity, and compass sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML with Adobe Flash support. It supports Java via Java MIDP emulator. It runs on removable Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery with standby time up to 340 hours on 2G and 320 hours on 3G. Talk time is up to 4 hours 30 minutes both on 2G and 3G.
