I need to download some of my pictures from instagram to my pc but there is no option to download. Instead, I thought I should take screenshots like I do in my phone. But I do not know how that works. How can we take screenshot in pc?
You can easily take screenshots in your pc as you do on your phone. You have not mentioned which computer you are using so I will tell you methods to do it on Windows as well as mac. On Windows, you need to look for the print screen button on keyboard. After you press it, the screenshot is copied in the memory. To use it or save it, the best way is to open paint. In paint, click paste. The screenshot will be pasted on the page. Now you can save this file.
On mac, there are two ways to do it. If you want to save the whole screen, press the keys command shift and 3 simultaneously. Or, if you only want to save a part of the screen, press the keys command, shift and 4 simultaneously.
Then, you will get an option to crop the part of the screen you want.
Just select it and then press enter.
The screenshots will be saved on your desktop automatically.
You don’t actually need to do a screenshot of the photos in your Instagram account just to download them on your computer. That will not actually download the photos but will just create a copy of the picture based on how it is displayed on the screen. If you do this, you will end up with a picture that has a lower quality.
There is no problem if Instagram doesn’t give an option to download your photos. You can still download them using your browser’s “Save image as” option. This option varies depending on the web browser you are using. This will allow you to download the actual photo instead of just doing a screenshot of your picture. Here’s how to do it.
First, log in to your Instagram account then click on the photo you want to download to display it on the screen. Next, right-click on the photo and select “View page source” or just press CTRL + U on your keyboard to view the source code of the page.
On the page source tab, press CTRL + F to perform a search then type without quotes “jpg”. The browser should automatically highlight all the instances of “jpg” on the page. Go to the bottom of the page and look for the last highlighted “jpg”. Highlight the entire URL something like “https://instagram.fmnl4-2.fna.fbcdn.net/t51.2885-15/e35/14711924_1100395240047967_118649729977417728_n.jpg” then copy it.
Open a new tab on your web browser and paste the URL on the address bar and press Enter. This should display your Instagram photo. Here, right-click on the image and select “Save image as”. Select a folder in your hard drive and click “Save”.
And that’s it. You have now actually save your Instagram photo to your computer.
