Getting error when applying load on Solidworks CAD

Hi all,

This is with regards to SolidWorks 3D CAD.  I wanted to run my first Simulation analysis but I am unable to apply a load.  I used a weldment frame that I have made a contact set that linked all of the sections in one. I already made a gravity load and want to use the frame for load. I am receiving an error message (attached picture).

Simulation

Load/Restraint cannot be applied to the beam Face, edge, or vertex.

OK

I want to contact the load on a bolt hole, then on a flat surface, and finally on an edge. All of them failed to reach on a positive result. I don’t know why this doesn't work. Can anyone help me?  Thanks in advance.

First advice is don't try to run all the components together if you are doing this for the first time because it will definitely cause you trouble.

First of all start by implementing the same like functions and objects. Make a class of them and then simulate them. Once successful, then move on to the rest 1 by 1.

There is also a chance that the thing you are doing here is using 1D elements. Because then the faces you have used are not in their correct order.

The model that you are trying to make, if it is in 3D and uses certain objects that support faces then you can use it otherwise it is a no go.
