Hi all,

I am facing a problem while trying to install software from a CD. That application was my phone software along with Activesync and I found a yellow triangle box reading, "Sonic DLA, your version of DLA can read files on this disk but you will not be able to add them. ”

Also got a red X "Warning, the local language and default (WWE) configuration XML file cannot be found or invalid; please contact the disk manufacturer. ” Finally, a yellow triangle with this message, "Microsoft Activesync Error: Invalid Drive: F: Please select a valid drive”.

Then with Turbo Tax – A, I received a message reading, “red X, Invalid Drive, Error code 1327”.

I also removed an external hard disk but had to add another one. I have also checked the disk management page and it is all the same.

Error: A red X, Invalid Drive, Error code 1327.

So please help me get rid of it.

Thanks.

Dear Malina Foster,

According to the error message you received, this might occur if a registry key contains a data field with an incorrect value. To resolve this problem you need to change the registry key data field to the correct value.

Notice that it's preferred that you backup your registry before playing with them because in case a problem occurs, you can backup again your old registry. Follow these steps in order to solve the problem:

In "Run" type the command "regedit".

Locate the following in the registry editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerShell Folders.

If you find invalid drive letters, change them to point to valid drive letters already in your computer.

Try the installation again.

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck.
