Error 623: System is unable to locate the phone book entry

Hi guys,

I have made a deal through Software Error Doctor and it revealed that there were 40 errors on my computer. Then I had to buy the software to get rid of them. Now I am receiving the following error message, “Error 623: System is unable to locate the phone book entry for this connection.” It changes the "Never Dial a Connection" mode to "Always Dial My Default Connection” continuously.

I need support to get rid of it.

Error 623: System is unable to locate the phone book entry

Dear Mara Sanders,

According to Microsoft support page, this error occurs when the Dial up connection is set to be the First Connect option in Virtual Private Connection and this dial up connection is deleted. This problem is related to Microsoft Windows 200. A work around this error is to go through the following steps:

– Click the "Start" button, go to "Settings" and click "Network and Dialup Connections".

– Right click "Virtual Private Connection" and click "Proprieties".

– Check the "Dial another connection first" box and then select the dial up connection you prefer.

– If your "Virtual Private Network" connection doesn't depend on a Dial up, clear the "Dial another connection first" check box and click ok.
