Hi,

I get the following error when I try to replace the updated parts of the sch/pcb from the library. Error message is given below.

"Consistency lost during update!  No forward/backannotation will be performed!  Please contact CadSoft!"
followed by…

"The library update has failed!  Your drawing may be seriously damaged.  Please revert to a backup!"

I get the same error though I close all without saving and re-open it.

Please give me your suggestions to solve this.

Thanks.

Hello Poochai! It seems that you’re having some difficult time with this dilemma like all of the many people trouble with it. As far as I can understand, it may be possible that the component has been replaced but reconnection to the nets failed.

What I would do would be:

1. Move/Delete the entire component from the schematic which was from the original faulty library.

2. Put all of it back again, one at a time from the modified library.

3. Or you add additional junction dots so the part meets the nets.

Hope this works for you! Message me when condition persists.
