Error Converting Audio mkv audio file from DTS 6.1 ch to .ac3

Hey guys!

I could use some help with a problem I’m having when converting audio formats.

I was working with eac3toGUI v2 to convert my .mkv audio file from DTS 6.1 ch to .ac3.

However, the conversion process keeps getting aborted, as seen in the picture below:

The AC3 encoder received a non-supported data format < float, 7, 64, >. Aborted at file position 262144.

Expecting your help

Thanks.

Dear Razaxp,

It is clear from your log that converter you are using to convert audio file doesn’t have proper filters installed for this purpose. The first two decoders are note even working and libav decoder is not supporting multichannel conversion. The third one is giving non supported data format and was aborted somewhere in the middle of the conversion.

I would recommend you using more powerful converter like MeGui or Avidemux. You just have to simply select source file, your preferred audio codec which in your case is AC3 and then output folder. I would suggest using MeGui as you are familiar with non Gui programs so MeGui won’t be a problem for you and the file will be converted flawlessly.
