Hi,

I was trying to install the most up to date version of add-ins but I get this weird error message. I have checked all the configuration settings relating to MSI Client. The error shows that Publish Failed. How can I publish the following file to the directory? Provide the full instructions step by step. I am waiting for your help.

Thanks in advance.

Publish failed

Failed to copy file DACLIENTINSTALL.MSI to the published Directory.

The error message “Publish failed” is probably caused because you have issues with some folders of Desktop Authority and probably you are missing some administrator permissions. To solve this issue I suggest you to close the application, provide all the privileges to the Domain Administrators security group, to the folders “ScriptLogic Manager”, “Software Management” and “Published Repository”. Then please delete the old .msi files and then finally re-open the Desktop Authority app and try to publish again the files.

Hello,

Follow these steps to solve out this problem:

1) Go to C:Program FilesScriptLogic Manager and grant full control permission for it by clicking security in the properties.

2) Similarly go to C:Program FilesScriptLogic ManagerSoftware Management and grant full control permission for it by clicking security in the properties.

3) Do the same for C:Program FilesScriptLogic ManagerSoftware ManagementPublished Repository.

4) Now delete the MSI files.

5) Close you Desktop authority from task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and restart it.

Now your installation will be successful.
