It is difficult for me to make a road symbols using Microsoft word 2007, and then I saw this Microsoft Visio as one of the packages of the Microsoft office 2007.

Can you advise me tips on how to make road symbols using this software?

Or some tutorials will do.

Thanks

Hello Leigh slayton;

Visio 2007 lets users incorporate data with diagrams and combine sources of visual, textual, and numeric information.

  • Click FILE > NEW
  • From the drop down menu, select MAPS AND FLOOR PLANS > DIRECTIONAL MAPS
  • From ROAD SHAPES, drag a road shape onto your map and resize it as you want
  • Right-click the road shapes, and then click a thickness setting (Thin, Standard, Thick, or Custom) to help in setting its thickness
  • You can also rotate the road shape change to the direction you need; on the SHAPE menu, point to ROTATE OR FLIP, and then click a rotate or flip command.
  • You can proceed to drag other shapes, such as bridges, roundabouts, and interchanges to your map
  • Then connect road shapes, using straight segments to connect curved roads and intersections.

There is also a demo on Basic steps for working with Visio shapes

Thanks,
