Hi,

I am using Windows 7 as OS in my new computer. I have installed Outlook and add 2 users in it. I am using this computer in home and so it is not connected to any domain. I have imported ‘.pst’ file from my old computer to the new computer’s Outlook which have a profile named ‘ABC’.

It connects through POP and it is working properly. When I am login to another user name, DEF, it is not starting the Outlook and I am getting an error message which says ‘Default email folder is not able to open’.  I don’t know why this is happening. Is there some problem with the importing of the ‘.pst’ file?

If anybody knows how to solve this please post it here. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Hello Dear,

Please follow the steps:

1. At first, you need to find the OST which mainly cause this type of error. To find OST, you can take help from search option.

2. Then, you have to rescue data. Data should be rescued from the OST file.

3. You also need to back up the OST data file for your own security

4. Now you can delete the old OST file. This is mandatory to solve this issue

5. Now go to control panel

6. Go to mail option

7. Select mail setup

8. Click on show profile

9. Remove old profile

10. Add the new one
