I tried to update my antivirus Avira. It stopped updating throwing an error message. I tried it again but no result. I visited respective site to get a remedy of this issue but not found. Have you any idea for the issue?
Please help me to get remedy of this issue.

You didn't mention the error number or the exact text written in the error dialogue box. However Avira update error message is being faced by many users. Please find the solution below:
1. Open Internet Explorer whether you are using it or not. Click Tools and then Internet Options:

3. Finally uncheck the box under Proxy Server:
I hope this will solve your problem if not then there is another option of downloading the latest update file from Avira Website and install the update manually.

If you have Avira antivirus and it stopped updating even if you try to update it, check if your internet connection is working. If your computer is connected to a router, try resetting the router. If the router has a power button, press it to turn it off and unplug it from the power for about 10 to 20 seconds.
Press any button on the router to drain any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on. When the router is ready, open your web browser and visit a website then try clicking some links. Verify that the connection is working then try updating the antivirus again. See if this works.
If this doesn’t work, just try installing the latest. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your Avira antivirus among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then restart the computer. After booting, download the free version of CCleaner and install it. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system.
When it is finished, close CCleaner then download the latest Avira Free Antivirus. The latest version at the moment supports Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Window 8.x, and Windows 10. If you want to convert CCleaner to Pro, download the codes and follow the instructions.
