I am experiencing this error when I try to publish my iMovie project. The error message states that, the problem has been caused by some plug-in. What might be the root cause? Do I need to install the Time Machine? Does anyone know how to fix the error? Please help. Thanks a lot.

The problem may have been caused by the lib3ivxEnc.dylib plug-in.
Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.
Click Relaunch to launch the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.

This problem basically is caused by the third party codec that you installed, the 3ivx. To resolve this problem you could try to uninstall the codec and see if the error is fixed.
Or you could go to your top level drives /Library/Quick Time/ and find the name of the extension component. Put it then into the trash. After that the problem should be fixed.

This error is no different with Microsoft Windows where applications suddenly close merely after starting it. This can be by accident or a problem with the installation files. Try restarting the computer then try again. If this doesn’t work, try to uninstall and reinstall the program. Since you are using a Mac, just trash the affected program to uninstall it.
Once it is removed, install it back then see if it works. Try also checking the programs system requirements and verify that your computer meets those requirements. If you are using a plug-in when the error started, try not to add or install that plug-in in case the program is already working. Try updating the program to the latest version.
