I was wondering that if my antivirus is working or not.

There are a lot of ways to test if antivirus is working or not. I am going to help you with one of the process which can determine for your antivirus. You just have to follow the below steps provided:

You can do this by EICAR Test which is a short form for European Institute of Computer Antivirus Research. All you have to do is open the notepad from where it is installed then paste the code in the notepad.

You should provide no blank spaces between the code. Then save the file by the name of see. exe. This will check that your antivirus is working or not. If it’s not working then no warning will be shown and if its working a warning will be shown. Hence, you can check if your antivirus is working or not.

A computer virus can damage your data and files among with computer hardware. To protect your computer you must want to use an antivirus. There is present a lot of antivirus such as AVG, avast, Norton etc. We can get it trail version but genuine version is always best.

Beside one question is so important that how can I understand that my antivirus is work or not?

Actually we must update the antivirus regularly and always try to use a genuine version to get a well support. Besides some of the tools we can use for the test run that how effectively my antivirus work? Follow the tutorial for the test:
