I bought a new HTC SENSATION Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and I started getting, "Download Unsuccessful" whenever I tried to upgrade or download an application even when my internet is good and also tried using 3G SIM cards.

Its really weird since, I setup everything. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

1. Try to clear your cache first. Go to settings then applications and to cache;

2. Restart you phone ;

3. Wait for 10-15 minutes then download the application again;

4. Be sure to check for the connectivity of your phone, to the internet and also the memory space;

If this doesn't work, try this:

Add the type manually and put this line in an .htaccess file works: application/vnd.android.package-archive apk.

Dear,

There could be many reasons for the said issue. Mobile internet which is also known as GPRS, it works through the SIM card and is not that powerful especially for downloading heavy files from the internet. Low signals cause 'Download Unsuccessful' errors. Please note down mobile internet never works while you are having a conversation on your phone. If you receive or dial a call during downloading any application it interrupts the file and you will get 'Download Unsuccessful' error. The best possible way to download or upgrade applications is through WiFi.

This is a common mobile internet error and there is no problem with you cell phone or SIM card.
