Microsoft office outlook continue to get the error message

Hi,

I am trying to install Microsoft Office Outlook but failed. I got an error message "OLMAPI32.dll is incompatible with Office Outlook.  Install Outlook again".

I have installed Outlook 3 times and run the MS diagnostics tool.

Yet I continue to get the error message "OLMAPI32.dll is incompatible with Office Outlook.  Install Outlook again". 

Any ideas on how can I resolve this issue.

The error message is as follows:

Microsoft office outlook continue to get the error message

OLMAPI32.dll is an essential DLL file which is installed by Outlook which is responsible for messaging services and “Olmapi32.dll is incompatible” error is a common error regarded with it.

The general cause for this error is the replacement of older OLMAPI32.dll by a new one or with the version that is incompatible with other software’s. Check whether you have 2 versions of MS Outlook installed in your system.

If so uninstall the older version completely and run a repair for the new version.

Also be sure that you do not have an exchange account configured in the Outlook by Navigating to control panel > Mail > E-mail account.

If you still persists the error then you need to clean and repair the windows registry and try reinstalling Outlook. Finally Try PST repair tool to repair the DLL file.

Hello Polard,

Do you have the two versions Office 2003 and 2007? Or you are installing both of this?

If you have these two versions, incompatibility error could possibly occur. You have to uninstall one of them. If removing/uninstalling one version have no effect?

Then register this DLL to the registry: Just open command prompt and type this regsvr32 olmapi32.dll.

We are having the same problem.

My broadband is actually affected on this error.

But now it is fixed.

Hi Polar.

OLMAPI32.dll is installed By outlook. But when you uninstall Outlook, it does not get removed. There have been some updates giving rise to this issue.

Some checkpoints

Ensure you don't have 2 versions of outlook / office installed . If so , remove the older version and repair the other

Do you have an exchange account configured ? If not sure, you can use the Control Panel > Mail > Email accounts to check this .
Try removing the OLMAPI32.dll from the C:Program Files Microsoft Office Office 12 Then repair Office.

Try updating to the latest Service Pack
