I have  a problem with Outlook 2007. I want to access one email account in multiple number of computers. I should receive emails in all Computers and Blackberry. Presently only one computer can receive the emails. And it keeps getting deleted from the server. I have set the server to keep the email in the server for fourteen days. The emails are being received by one computer only. I’m using ISP as e-mail server and the account is has a lot of free space on the server. It was working until I have installed a new computer. After the installation of the new computer, it is not allowing other computers and Blackberry to receive emails. I tried using different email accounts on the other 2 computers but the problem remains. Maybe there is a problem with the settings. Please help me solve this.

Hallo Bill_burge,

The reason why you messages are automatically deleted from the server when you receive them is because the message can only be kept in the location where it is stored, when you try to access it from another location the message will be automatically deleted after you view it. To be able to counter this, and to do that you will have to check you POP3 email account from multiple profiles or various computers so that you can be able be able to view messages on any computer on your network and delete them when you like.

To be able to access the messages on any computer, I will suggest that you use exchange server as opposed to outlook since exchange will allow the messages to be delivered to the exchange mailbox which you can be able to access on any computer and the messages will not be deleted automatically.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

First of all contact your ISP for any possible blocking of your emails. These settings may be available in your control panel. Try to uncheck the IP restriction on downloading email on more than one location. This feature is very useful and protects you from data theft.

Now you can configure your computers for email download. For blackberry you do not need to save a copy of the message on the server. But for more than one computer you need to check leave a copy of the message from the server. Do not check delete from server when deleted. Check this tab only on one computer that you will dedicate for deletion of email.
