Every time I tried to Sign up for a new account on yahoo, I am receiving Yahoo Error 999. I am using Google Chrome and even tried it in Firefox, but none of them works. I can still open the yahoo site but if clicked on Sign Up, it will direct me to yahoo site with error;

Sorry, Unable to process request at this time – Error 999

I cleared all the cache and browsing history, but it still didn’t work.

What can I do?

Help Please.

You cannot access the site because Yahoo bans your IP Address. Yahoo put a Bandwidth Limiting System on their server and once you have exceeded on the allotted bandwidth, Yahoo will most likely give you Error 999. The common causes of Error 999 are;

  1. You continuously made new yahoo accounts without giving a time gap.
  2. If you are using Yahoo Search Engine and you search for 30 times or so.
  3. If you are using Yahoo Answers and spent too much time on answering, Yahoo will ban you so you can no longer post answers.

To resolve this issue;

  1. Try another dynamic IP address.
  2. Wait for 2 days. It will take 48 hours before Yahoo lift your ban.
  3. Try using your alternative browser. Say you’re using Mozilla Firefox, try Google chrome or Internet Explorer.

Try logging in from to access your mail.
