Working offline with HTML 5

HTML 5 is a hyped technology that is said to be very promising. It is claimed to bring desktop application capabilities to the browser. It even extends its remarkable abilities to the mobile browsers and allow us to work offline. An offline web application will be very attractive to both user and developers because it would mean that developers would be able to write a single application that works on all smartphones instead of writing native applications for each platform. For users they will be assured that everything will be cached and therefore browsers will load everything from cache and page loads will be faster.
