Windows Update causes Error Code: 80040154

Hello.

When trying to use Windows Update the error code 80040154 keeps coming up, I receive the message

Class Not Registered.

Windows Update

Windows could not search or new updates

An error occurred while checking for new updates for your computer.

Error(s) found:

Code 80040154 Windows Update encountered an unknown error.

Get help with this error

Windows Update causes Error Code: 80040154

Cause: The error is usually encountered in the absence of apt permissions in the registry.

Ensure that you are performing the windows update after being logged in as an administrator.

Resolution:  Windows update Reset component tool should be downloaded saved to the local driver and should be run to fix the issue encountered while performing windows update. The tool is competent enough to diagnose issue with windows update and find easy ways to fix the error.

The software is recommended by Microsoft in fixing issues with windows updated and can be downloaded from the mentioned link.

The software repairs the component of windows update, reregisters services if there is a problem with them and rectifies issues with data locations of Windows Update.
