I am currently using Windows 7. I had recently created a new folder. It has a default name as ‘New Folder.’ When I tried to rename this folder an error message flashed on the screen with error code 0x80004005 windows 7. What should I do?

To resolve this error, you can perform the steps below:

1. Open the Device Manager from the Control Panel in Start Menu.

2. From the view menu, make sure you are also displaying the hidden files

3. Drop down the selection pane for ‘Network Adapters’

4. Delete all the adapters name as Microsoft XX (where X is any number)

5. Restart your computer.

The error is now resolved.
