I am using Windows XP and sometimes when I’m using a certain application like Microsoft Access or sometimes an online game it takes too long to load that will lead to an unresponsive program, it says Windows program stop responding. Is my program or application corrupted? What do I get this error?

A program/application, the computer system itself may be unresponsive or can be a cause to stop other programs because of a conflict to either software or hardware, a lack of system resources or software and driver bugs.

To deal with this problem, if a certain program becomes unresponsive you can just end this program through task manager locating its program name or its process name on the list. Pres CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the task manager, on the “Application” list locate the program name and right click it, and click end task. Or go to “Process” tab and locate the process name for the program, right click it and select end task if the program stays unresponsive.

In doing this solution, when working with data for example you are working with MS Word and suddenly it stops responding your recent entry will not be saved. Although it has an auto recovery feature, it will not always give you an updated document.

If this problem always occurs with the same application, better to reinstall the program to fix this issue.

HI,

"Anything that causes the application to stop responding can cause Windows to add the '(Not Responding)' moniker to the title bar."

it is a common problem that each system will face.

Thanks,
