The solution for this problem is again dependent on several check points. To ensure, everything will work, do perform the following checks on your system.

  1. Check taht all your firewalls has been disabled.
  2. The network seetting is correctly established wth corect IP address.
  3. Check that the ports used by the network are not already occupied by other clients.
  4. Check that your network settings have the right configuration.

I don’t think this problem will happen if you’ll only try to connect to the internet because the path is different. When you access the internet, your connection request is sent through the network card down to the router or mobile broadband stick. This problem is different because it doesn’t happen on the internet.

You usually get error code “0x80070035” when you are networking two computers that has Windows XP on one computer and Windows 7 on the other. If ever you receive this, try this method. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories,” and then “Command Prompt.” In the command prompt window, type without quotes “secpol.msc” then hit Enter. Another way to access it is from the Control Panel.

Click “Start,” “Control Panel,” “Performance and Maintenance,” “Administrative Tools,” and then “Local Security Policy.” In “Local Security Settings” window, go to “Local Policies,” “Security Options,” and then “Network security: LAN Manager.”

Local security policy security options

On the next screen, in “Local Security Setting” tab, select the second option from the dropdown list “Send LM & NTLM – use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated.” Click “OK.” See if this works.
