I currently have a windows 7 professional k. I want to change to professional n. Do I need to have my computer reformatted? Or Can I change windows 7 professional k to n directly?

Actually, Windows 7 Professional version KN and Version N is just the same. They also both without Windows Media Player and other Media related technologies (Windows DVD Maker, WIndows Media Center, and etc). But they can still be installed if you download Media technologies in Microsoft. The Version K is for Korean Market while N is for the European market. I don't think there would be any differences if you change your Windows 7 to Version N. No need to change your Windows 7 version.
