Windows media player 11 problem

Hi,whenever I let any avi movie play in windows media player I have to restart my PC because entire PC froze ! Previously, that never happened, and now I can not figure out what the problem is. I tried to change the codec and the same happens again …
If anyone knows how to fix it I would be grateful … Thank You

Windows media player 11 problem

Hi

There is a problem in to play an AVI format on windows media player because the AVI format is not actually and there is no specific codecs for playing and mostly the AVI format have video and audio data which have no specific codes for play the video. The AVI format might be audio data is MP3 and video data is another type simply we say that it is the combination of different data types. And windows media player have no codes for playing the AVI format video …So that is the reason that windows media player can't play and support the AVI format… Thanks
